Those Who Reach For the Stars

These wishes

These dreams that we dream

We reach for the stars

But we fall because they are too far

When we fall

We sometimes fall hard

We sometimes fall alone

What makes us true dreamers

The ones who reach for the stars

Is when we pick ourselves up even when no one is around

Wishes rarely come true

Even when they are on shooting stars

Prayers often seem like a hit or miss

Even though God does answer everyone

We are the ones who do our best

To make our own dreams and wishes come to be

We are the ones who fight like crazy

For those dreams

We are the ones who take the time to breathe the night air

The ones who see that these dreams and wishes are all around us

They come true everyday

We are the ones that see joy and beauty in the simplest of things

The ones who see the broken and alone

We are the ones who are not afraid to live with passion and emotion

We are the ones who reach for the stars

The ones who dare to dream

We are the ones who love the simplicity of quiet summer breezes

The ones who are content to sit in a field making daisy chains

Just imagining all the possibilities

We are the ones who still believe that when we close our eyes

When we are on a swing

That we are flying

The ones who see adventure at every turn

We are the ones who are strong on the outside

The ones who are fragile on the inside

We are the ones who want to fight the injustice

The ones who will make their voice heard for the voiceless

We are the ones who reach for the stars

The ones who dare to dream

We are the ones that wish on shooting stars

The ones that make those wishes and dreams come true

We are the ones that will fight like crazy for them all
